packing in progress....

Mom is home and we are attempting to "pack". We go to Walmart like twice a day. And I figured out that overweight is only $25 :) Today in church they prayed for me. It was very encouraging but we all cried...this is only the beginning! Thanks for your prayers; only four days left!

Vacation Bible School at Rives Baptist

Keisa and I had a lot of fun leading crafts at Rives VBS this last week. The crafts were a little more difficult than we had planned but the kids had fun...that is all the matters! :) It was so good to get to spend a lot of time working with Keisa in my last few weeks. We make a pretty good team!

They sure don't make leaving any easier for me :(

Patiently waiting?!?

Three weeks and counting and I could be/should be in Nairobi. The only thing holding me back is a ticket...visa...and teaching certificate. But those minor details really should be NO problem. I think they are God's way of reminding me daily that this is ALL about Him and He is in control and not me. Thinking about leaving does not get easier as I spend each day with my nephews, they are so much fun. Then to think of missing the new babies as well...ouch! Not to mention missing talking to my mom and sisters everyday. WOW...prayer is good about RIGTH NOW!!!

The future...

I will be moving to Nairobi, Kenya in just about three weeks to teach at West Nairobi School. I will be the athletic Director, as well as, coach and Physical Education teacher for 3rd through 9th grade. I am excited about what lies ahead. It is a two year commitment but Lord willing I will be home next summer to visit friends and family and also to meet my new nephews or nieces ;)
